Licka is interested in modelling and machine learning tools and applying the former in modelling the seasonal influenza and the latter in classification of dementia-related conditions using longitudinal data.
She has a background in infectious diseases and epidemiology and collaborated with the Senegalese Ministry of Health as well as the World Health Organization during Covid-19 pandemic. She has also worked with Sante Publique France in the seasonal surveillance program of Chikungunya/Dengue/Zika.

Her leisure time is spent at the beach (swimming and walking), in parks and with books.
