Borame Dickens
Assistant Professor
Bo is a geospatial modeler of infectious disease, specialising in the use of individual-based models (IBMs) to evaluate the effectiveness of public health interventions.
With her talented team, her work has a focus on simulating disease transmission dynamics, assessing the impact of interventions, border controls, screening and prevention strategies. This covers both endemic and imported diseases.
She leads the DEMOS (Demographic Epidemiological Model of Singapore) modelling group, which is an agent based model of Singapore’s population used for policy evaluation and research. Bo is also an advocate for responsible one health.
She will never be found far from a good cup of coffee.
