Angkana T Huang

Assistant Professor, Presidential Young Professor

Angkana T. Huang (also known acronymically as Hat) seeks to advance the understanding of mechanisms driving pathogen ecology and evolution through deeply data-grounded approaches. Through her multidisciplinary lens in industrial design, computer science, and biology, she tackles a broad range of questions from molecular changes of viruses to population-level host demography, as well as the immunological impact that co-circulating viruses have on the transmission of one another.

Off work, Hat enjoys living in the physical world. Her favorites are long distance cycling (for the sake of food and relationships) and gardening (again, for food).
